Step-by-step activity:

Step 1: Welcome to the tropics and assignment of your trail companion Nos encontramos en nuestro punto de inicio en San Rafael (o te recogemos en Guatapé, según tu reserva). Nuestros guías expertos te darán una cálida bienvenida al estilo Alianza Local Tours. Conocerás a nuestros nobles caballos y te asignaremos el compañero ideal según tu nivel de experiencia, desde principiantes hasta jinetes expertos.

Step 2: Safety talk and connection Before saddling up, we will give you a brief but fundamental safety talk. You will learn how to communicate with your horse, how to hold the reins correctly, and the ideal posture so that both of you enjoy the ride with total confidence

Step 3: Immersion in the jungle and river crossings The ride begins! We enter through ancient peasant trails surrounded by tropical humid forest. You will feel the emotion of crossing on horseback the crystal-clear and refreshing rivers that make San Rafael famous, an unmissable photographic experience.

Step 4: Andean viewpoints and local culture As we ride forward, the landscape opens up to give us panoramic views of the mountains of Antioquia. We will pass near traditional farms where you can observe authentic Colombian peasant life and, with luck, spot exotic birds and local fauna in their natural habitat.

Step 5: Refreshing break (Optional) We will make a strategic pause in one of the beautiful natural pools or 'charcos' of crystal-clear waters. Here you can get off your horse, stretch your legs, hydrate, and, if the weather permits, take a refreshing dip in the middle of virgin nature.

Step 6: Traditional Colombian Lunch (Recharge energies!) 🍲 After the water adventure, we will go to a farm or authentic local restaurant. Here a delicious typical Antioquian lunch awaits you (with vegetarian options available), prepared with firewood and peasant love. It is the perfect moment to share stories of the route and taste the true seasoning of our land.

Step 7: Return and farewell 'with the heart' We begin the way back to the starting point with a heart full of adventure and the camera full of memories. We say goodbye to our horses and the guide team, finishing an authentic experience far from the crowds.
